The GKV-Spitzenverband intends to update product group 34 "Hair replacement" of the list of medical aids (Hilfsmittelverzeichnis, HMV) .
The update includes the review and, if necessary, the revision of the definition, the product subgroups as well as the product types including the indications.
As part of the update, technical and editorial revisions were made to the definition and the product type descriptions, and the entire product group was adapted to modern terminology. The quality requirements have been revised. The service requirements were also harmonised with the systematics of other product groups.
Patient interest groups have thus been granted the right to participate in the consultation process.
The deadline for comments is 14 January 2022.
