The list of medical aids and the annex to the list of nursing aids, which is compiled by the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds in Germany (GKV-Spitzenverband) in accordance with §139 SGB V, is a systematically structured catalogue. It lists the aids covered by the health and long-term care insurance funds' obligation to provide benefits. In order to successfully place homecare products on the German market, it is highly recommended that they are listed in the above-mentioned catalogue (list of aids of the GKV central association). As a rule, this greatly facilitates the reimbursement of costs by the cost bearers

Those who do not respond to changes in requirements of various kinds may find that the listed products are removed from the list of medical aids.
