Why Regulatory Affairs Matters at REHACARE
Many of the products shown at REHACARE fall under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR)– from mobility aids to incontinence products to digital care aids. Manufacturers wanting to make these products reimbursable under German statutory health insurance also need to navigate the German Medical Technical Aids-Register Germany's official register of reimbursable aids. Both areas – CE marking under the MDR and listing in the list of aids – follow their own rules, with their own deadlines and their own requirements for technical and clinical documentation.
