The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds in Germany (GKV-Spitzenverband) has opened the statement procedure for the product groups 37 "Breast prostheses" and 36 "Ocular prostheses" of the list of medical aids (Hilfsmittelverzeichnis, HMV) , according to § 139 SGB V.
The update includes a review and, if necessary, revision of the definitions, product subcategories and product types, including indications. To this end, the commenting procedure has been initiated and the update draft sent to the interest groups. The patient interest groups are thus granted the right to be consulted.
The deadline for statements ends on May 23, 2022.
